PermaLink Public Apology to UKLII
It has been brought to our attention that a number of users posting comments here recently have posted, quite inappropriately, specific, unfounded allegations about certain companies and their officers including residential addresses and, in at least one case, passport numbers.

This is completely unacceptable and we unreservedly apologise to the companies and any of their officers so named for any inconvenience this may have caused them. We have also removed all such comments.

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind users to read and understand our comments policy before posting any comment in future.

PropertySCAM's primary mission is simply to equip people considering UK land plot investments with key facts. We believe the facts alone speak for themselves and that an intelligent reader, equipped with these facts, will make the right decision about whether or not to buy.

In addition to our primary mission, however, we chose some time ago to permit reader comments on our articles as we hoped to encourage a reasoned and evidence based debate among users, both for and against land banking. It should be very clear that we oppose land banking, but we feel that an approach based on positive engagement with the land banking industry rather than one based on confrontation is more likely ultimately to bear fruit.

Over the past nearly two years since we enabled the comments system at PropertySCAM, there have indeed been a number of illuminating exchanges between land banking companies themselves and our users. For example, see this conversation between Nigel Walter of UK Land Investments and The Finchampstead Society.

We would be delighted to see more comments in similar vein from land bankers, in particular from UK Land Investments International - this could help, for example, to clear up any confusion about the relationship between their company and UKLI Limited which is now in administration.

But, if the quality of reader comments does not improve, we will be forced to close all reader comments here and revert to our previous read only status.

I apologise unreservedly if any of my comments were deemed inadmissable. I will continue to research for and support my colleague who has money invested in a land plot, but will only read information posted here not post comments in future.

Regards

Steve

I shall comment here in a more appropriate manner in future. I will add here that when one decides on an investment vehicle for ones hard earned money, it is obviously prudent to undertake due diligence. I have undertaken much research in my spare time on land investments of various kinds and would urge caution before parting with money - an obvious observation.

I also agree that it would be very useful to read comments from those engaged in the landbanking industry on their business model and the risks involved with unregulated products.

Many thanks and regards

Steve

Hold on guys,

I think people have lot a lot of money here. Fair enough everyone should have done their research etc, but when investing into a company you look at the credibility of the investment. As an investor, you should'nt have to look into the people behind the company and whether they are capable of scamming people. I hear all these things from 'Chandra Patel' that the land WILL still get allocation. How can such absurd comments be made? I want to know which institutional players are involved here. The fact is, without the 'expertise' of Bally Chohan/Sudhir Kundi and Co, us investors will find it hard to do anything with the land we have. If anyone has any other idea's I would love to hear your views.

Comment to Sudhir Kundi/Bally Chohan/Derek Lawrence/Brian Smith: Please come out and open dialogue with us investors. Ultimately, investors put a lot of faith into you, so I believe it is your chance to show everyone your credibility as real ethical businessmen.
